WELCOME TO THE APYFL CHEERLEADING WEBSITE!
Thanks for your interest in our program.
We are currently still accepting registrations for the fall 2010 season. Cheerleaders must be between the ages of 5 and 14 (as of September 1, 2010). Once practices begin (on August 9), cheerleaders will only be accepted on a space available basis. You must be REGISTERED to practice. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE FALL 2010 SEASON!
VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME! We are always looking for new faces to work with our cheerleaders, especially if you are possibly interested in coaching. Please contact the Cheerleading Director,
, if you have questions, concerns, or would like to volunteer.
PRACTICES:
* During the month of August
----- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
----- 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
----- Independent Hill (near the intersection of Route 234 and Bristow Rd / near the PWC Landfill)
* During the school year
----- Practice dates and times will be cut back
----- Specific dates and times TBA
* What to wear: T-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes. No jewelry! (If ears have been pierced within past 6 weeks, small, flat studs only.) Hair is to be pulled up. No gum.
* What to bring: Water bottle, emergency medicine (i.e. epipen or inhaler - talk with your coach)
* What we do: Learn cheers, chants, stunts, and dances
GAMES:
* Game schedules will not be available until early September.
* Most cheering will be done for home games until the playoffs
UNIFORMS:
* Shells and skirts will be loaned to cheerleaders for the duration of the season.
* Cheerleaders are responsible for black bloomers, black cold weather gear (i.e. leggings and a turtleneck/underarmor), and rain gear (a clear poncho or rain coat).
* Cheerleaders are responsible for shoes. White tennis shoes are required. White cheer shoes are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
