EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Comcast Cares Charity Event
May
Cheerleaders will participate in a fun and fulfiling charity event, which will emphasize the importance of giving back to the community.


SPRING SHOWCASE
June
Squads will perform a choreographed routine to showcase (cheers, stunts, and dance) and celebrate the end of the Spring season.

 

MINI CAMPS
June and August - Register Now
We host mini-camps as a great way to introduce new cheerleaders to the basic fundamentals and serves as a refresher for those returning to APC. Rotating stations include motions, jumps, cheers/chants, and stunting basics.  Special Guests for mini camps - Cheer DC (tentatively scheduled)

 

DALE CITY INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
July
APYFL Warriors invite registered players and cheerleaders to walk with the float as we celebrate Independence Day. Wear your AP apparal and comfortable shoes (no sandals). Bring a water bottle and your AMERICAN Pride spirit!

NOVA CHEER PERFORMANCE DAY
October
Performance Day is an opportunity for NOVA Cheer clubs wishing to participate and is associated with, and held the same day as, the All-Stars Program.  This is a special time for each club to showcase/perform cheers, cheer/dance routines or a combination. This performance is held at T.C. Williams High School.

 

FALL PEP RALLY
November
Prior to tackle playoffs, American Pride will host a Pep Rally for football players, cheerleaders, and families. Each squad will perform a choreographed routine to showcase what they've learned throughout the season (cheers, stunts, and dance). Additional practices may be scheduled in preparation for the Pep Rally and will vary by coach.

 

END OF SEASON EVENT/BANQUET
June/November
At the end the Fall cheer season, American Pride Cheerleading takes this opportunity to recognize cheerleaders and coaches and celebrate. Each squads' fundraising efforts, support this event.

 

LEAGUE BANQUET
December
Each year APYFL recognizes a Player/Cheerleader of the year from each football team and cheerleading squad. The Player of the Year (POY) is awarded to a player/cheerleader from each team/squad who has achieved both on-field and off-the-field (i.e., academic, community service) success. This is a very special event for the chosen individuals and their families.
